TOWARDS THE XXXVII RALLYE ELBA STORICO–TROFEO LOCMAN ITALY: WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 3, THE OFFICIAL PRESS CONFERENCE

The event, scheduled for September 25–27, is quickly approaching, opening the key part of the European and Italian historic rally season.
The “Graffiti” regularity event has been confirmed, along with the inclusion of “Classic Cars” in accordance with new FIA regulations.
Once again, the event reaffirms its commitment to involving the entire island.
Entries are open until September 10.

Livorno, August 29, 2025 – Excitement is building for the return of historic rallying on Elba, an iconic location for road racing, with the XXXVII Rallye Elba Storico–Trofeo Locman Italy. Scheduled over three legs on September 25–27, it will be the eighth round of the ten-event FIA European Historic Rally Championship and the seventh (penultimate) round of the Italian Historic Rally Championship.
Entries remain open until September 10 for this classic late-summer event organized by ACI Livorno Sport, which is now entering its crucial phase of preparation.
On Wednesday, September 3, at 11:00, the official presentation press conference will be held in the auditorium of Il Tirreno newspaper’s historic headquarters in Viale Alfieri, Livorno. Always close to the territory’s affairs and ready to report with accuracy and balance, Il Tirreno—now directed by Cristiano Marcacci, who will moderate the event—has consistently supported the Rallye Elba, narrating it with passion as a symbol of the island and of road rallying both nationally and internationally.

“GRAFFITI” CONFIRMED, CLASSIC CARS ARRIVE
The Elba rally maintains its international appeal and this year introduces an important innovation: the inclusion of “Classic Cars.” Thanks to the new FIA regulations, cars built between 1991 and 2000 are now eligible to compete in historic rallies. This decision will bring fresh competition, greater spectacle, and technical interest.
Alongside, the “Graffiti” regularity event is also confirmed—an eagerly awaited appointment for regularity enthusiasts, which has always found fertile ground on the island.

NEW LOGISTICS, SAME TRADITION
This year’s edition will take place over three days of competition with some logistical changes, while remaining faithful to tradition by touching Elba’s symbolic locations and strengthening the bond with the territory.
The main novelty is the relocation of Rally HQ to Portoferraio, at the Hotel Airone, already the base of the modern rally for several years. Capoliveri remains the beating heart of the event, hosting the spectacular city stage, the Service Park, the overnight regroup, and the final ceremony.
Porto Azzurro will host the ceremonial start and the sporting and technical checks, while Marciana Marina will provide a scenic regroup on its seafront.

AN EVENT UNITING THE ISLAND
ACI Livorno Sport reaffirms the rally’s role as a driver of growth for the entire Elban community—not only as a sporting competition, but also as an opportunity for social cohesion, territorial promotion, and economic development. The rally has become a strategic tool for connecting administrations, businesses, and citizens, extending the tourist season.
The historic rally symbolically closes the sporting year, just as the international “modern” rally opened it in the spring.

A TRIBUTE TO ANNA PUCCINI
Once again, the rally will be marked by the dedication of Special Stages 6 and 8, the famous “Innamorata” (in Leg 3), to Anna Puccini, the young Elban girl who tragically passed away in November 2022 due to illness. Anna was a passionate rally fan, an enthusiastic supporter of “her” rally, and the number-one supporter of Elban drivers. Remembering her by dedicating one of the most iconic stages of the rally is the most fitting way to honor her memory.

THREE LEGS, TEN STAGES, UNCHANGED CHARM
The program includes three legs and ten special stages, for a total of 133.38 competitive km over an overall route of 366.96 km. In case of retirement in the opening Capoliveri stage, re-start will be allowed the following day.
The route is designed in harmony with the island’s daily life: Leg 1 in Capoliveri, Leg 2 in the western area, Leg 3 in the eastern part. A balanced mix of technical challenge and spectacle, without disrupting everyday life.
Last year’s overall victory went to Sicilian driver Angelo Lombardo, co-driven by Roberto Consiglio, in a Porsche 911 RS.
