High expectations for the XXII Rallye Elba Storico
Entries will be open until September 3rd for this race which will be proposed again on the international scene with a path of high-level, continuing the tradition.

Waiting to turn back the engines and give way to new challenges after the summer break as part of the Rally Alpi Orientali Historic, scheduled from 2nd to 4th September in Friuli, the European and Italian Historic Rally Championship and their players are already thinking the transfer of the second half of the month for the prestigious and essential Rallye Elba Storico. It will be the twenty-second edition of the race, the eighth round of the FIA European Historic Rally Championship and penultimate series of specialties, that 16th to 18th September next ACI Livorno Sports propose as usual in a garment gripping, full of ideas and technical value of sports absolute.
The organizers are in turmoil and working at full capacity, the race has already seen entries open since last August 2nd and on this point shall inform those who participate in the idea of closing date for acceptance the membership is scheduled for September 3rd and applications for entries should be anticipated by fax and sent by insured mail or courier, as stipulated in Article 11 of Regulation 5.10 of NS National Sports. Since August 30th the entry fee will be increased by 20% (2 of Article 3 NS RNS)
A RACE OF STRONG EMOTIONS
Many innovations proposed by 2010 edition of Rallye Elba. In the first instance, the game certainly favors lengthening the tourist season on the largest island of the Tuscan archipelago, then reveals their high level characters, designed especially for the satisfaction of people running and even those who may attend.
Following the great success of the 2009 investments and the strong consensus from fans is that of professionals (twelve nations represented among the competitors, about 6,000 people registered the movement of these various roles in the event), the race will be presented with some exciting news regarding the race course, structured over three days, from the evening of Thursday 16th in the afternoon of Saturday, September 18th.
In fact for this rally, of which the only name is already a guarantee of success, ACI Livorno Sports, organizer and promoter of the event, once again provided two special stages for the first portion of the 1st leg, then provided for evening of Thursday 16th September: "Due Colli" and "Capoliveri", with the latter coming back thanks to the strong interest shown by the municipality, who asked to join the"race". The stage is short and very technical and partly follows the route of the famous old evidence "Innamorata".
The second day of competition, on Friday 17th September, has the novelty of the "Rio-Cavo" just over six kilometers unpublished surely will appeal to many, along with the classic "Monumento" and "Monte Perone".
The final day, on Saturday, September 18th, will propose the same format of 2009, which brought together racing and safety. In the program there are "Volterraio", "Parata-Falconaia" and again the "Monte Perone", which is the whole race SS longer, past the fifteen kilometers.
DRIVERS LEADERS ALSO ON THE WEB
A new feature this year, who runs the site can see the race www.rallyelbastorico.it. Apart from the classic content describing the event, this year drivers and co-drivers can register at the site having the opportunity to have its own space with the ability to insert photos into the store and sports curriculum available to all users.
THE "RALLY ELBA" LOCMAN WATCH, A MUST FOR THE WRIST SPORTS LOVERS CAR
"LOCMAN" is a name and a guarantee. "Name" because the brand, born on the island of Elba in the eighties, has settled with the strength and quality in the context of major international brands of watches and fashion. A "Guarantee" for the Rallye Elba Storico is just that, adding the name LOCMAN than the race for 2010.
Also this year, thus reinforcing the joint with the factory in Marina di Campo, is again the big watch promotion that the ACI Livorno Sports Organizing Committee provides a wonderful memory of the race to anyone who wanted to fine show his love for sports car with a unique and unrepeatable.
The clock, manufactured specifically for Rallye Elba Storico limited edition of 150 copies will even be personalized with the competition number, by engraving on the back of the case. Booking at least two clocks before the end of the registration price will be 120,00 Euros each compared with a cost to the public of 235.00 Euros. THE TIMES AND DISTANCES
Departure at 21.30 on September 16th of the promenade of Marina di Campo and arrival of the first stint, three road-sections, at 23.20. At that time competitors will have over two special stages and will then enter in the night regroupment, always provided in Marina di Campo. The next day, Friday, September 17th will leave at 09.00 to end the day at 16.00 after six other stages. The closing day, Saturday, September 18th, will start at 07,45 and will end at 15,00, even here in Marina di Campo. In total, the rally so far 476.180 km, 134.230 of which are timed, ie 28.19% of the distance.
LOGISTICS CONFIRMED
Nothing changed regarding the logistics of the rally, the headquarters of the event will stay in Marina di Campo, functional structures at the Hotel Select, which will be held the offices of Clerk of the Course, the Secretariat and the Press Room.
PARTNERS: TOGETHER WITH THE TENDER PASSION
Locman Italy, Moby spa, the Town of Campo in Elba, Hotel Select, Eni, Ip Bozzi, the Town of Capoliveri and obviously the Automobile Club Livorno for the 2010 edition of the race will be at the side of the organization confirming their passion for sports car and especially for the Elban Rally.
TROPHY THE SEA AND MOUNTAINS
The Trophy "Mare & Monti, a name which may appear trivial, has been chosen to show that it is a relationship between two events taking place on two different areas: the sea for the Rally Isle of Elba, mountains to the "Rally delle Alpi Orientali Historic".
The idea was, given the organizational cooperation between the two events that lasts a long time, to facilitate the crews to be present in two places and of course to run two races that, presenting completely different features and landscapes, represent a real completion between them. The prizes consist of facilities on fees but also in two weekends reserved for winners of each group one in Elba and the other in Carnia. Another way to advertise tourism in these places through the most refined sports car industry, that of vintage cars.
